Autumn Lovers

Here at the beach, fall does not have to necessarily mean you stick to just wearing sweaters. The weather is still warm enough for a beautiful outdoor wedding. An autumn outdoor wedding is what you want, an autumn outdoor wedding is what you will get. Let the Myrtle Beach Wedding Chapel create a vision you will always remember, even ten years down the road.

Poetry on your Special Day

You ever wanted just a little more at your ceremony. Nothing fancy, but a little more than just saying your vows and the minister saying his parts. Try something unexpected like a reading. Have an unexpected poetry read during the ceremony. That would not only put a smile on your face, but your guests’ heart will be melted. Sometimes words come up short. Poetry can speak up for you and say it all. Here are two special poems that can be used for any wedding ceremony. One is called “Touched By an Angel” by Maya Angelou:

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

The other is called “Unending Love” by Rabindranath Tagore

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,
Its ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever

Congrats to these Autumn Lovers

Congratulations to Mr. Scott & Mrs. Brittany Long and Mr. Alphonse & Mrs. Brianna Kempfer on becoming one. As you all are starting this new chapter, may you remember the reason why you said, “I do”. Your love story has become true. The moment you said, “I do”, your journey of marriage begin. Cherish each other and the bond you make. This marriage belongs to only the two of you. Through the good and bad, start each day with gratitude and compassion for one another. This will lead to an unconditional love. Believe in each other, support each other and pray for each other. Do not go one day without saying “I love you” and “thank you” to each other. Be romantic, be spontaneous with each other and do not forget to have fun. Know when to listen to each other, to talk & give your opinion and most importantly stand proudly together. Apologize when needed and never go to bed angry. Remember to forgive and forget. With God on you guys side, you can get through any stumbling blocks that may come you guys way.

Thank you for allowing the Myrtle Beach Wedding Chapel to add to the lovely memories of you all special day!
